Debate & Society: 100 hrs.Understanding and discussing news, politics, and social ethics.

• Course Objectives: Construct logical argumentative frameworks, engage spontaneously in fast-paced debates, and accurately interpret contemporary media broadcasts.

Can hold their own in a group discussion with native speakers on topical issues.

• Tools & Materials: International news feeds, structured debate tracking blueprints, opinion editorial packets, and argumentative essay models.

• Comments: Requires strong abstract thinking; push students to defend opinions they do not personally hold to test linguistic flexibility.

Course Rules

• Course Rules: Minimum 80% attendance required, active participation in weekly formal debates, and submission of two editorial critiques.
